Marina Salem
Since childhood, Marina was raised by her hardworking single-immigrant mother, who strived to offer her a comfortable life despite financial challenges. After obtaining an Economics degree and working full-time at a bank, Marina recognized the widespread lack of financial literacy. To bridge this gap, Marina established the Finspire Foundation, offering free resources and presentations in her community. Her mission is to inspire youth, immigrants, and single-household families to become more confident in their financial future.
Marina actively engages in her community, having volunteered for a youth-led not-for-profit for 3+ years. Notably, she received a Certificate of Recognition from the Canadian House of Commons for her contributions to her local youth council. In 2022, she led a successful United Way campaign, raising over $2000. A bold risk-taker, she lived alone in Greece at the young age of 19, seeking diverse experiences and personal growth. In her free time, she models, is an aspiring actress, explores new cuisine, and loves outdoor running.
